Homeward Hound's Pet Service Descriptions
Dog Walking
This service is for dogs that need daily exercise. This is a very common booking option. It also covers any feeding or water replacement that needs to take place. With this service, if there is any mess caused by the dog, we will take care of it. If it is deemed too hot or too cold to walk, we will either go for a quick walk or let the dog out in the yard. From there, the service would take place as a check in. Both are the same pricing structure.
Dog Check Ins
This service is for dogs that might not need much exercise. We will let your dog out, whether it be out into the backyard or a brief walk to go potty. Unlike the dog walking, a short walk during a “check in” would just be long enough for the dog to go potty. If the yard is fenced in, we will play outside a lot if it’s not too hot or cold. We will try our best to get the dog outside as much as possible, which is all weather dependent. All check ins do include play time of some sort, either inside or outside as well as feeding and water replacement.
Cat Check Ins
This service is for cats. All cat check ins include a litterbox clean up. This also includes water replacement and feeding. We will also be sure to play with the cats if they are friendly enough. These services are commonly booked for 15 minute intervals, but can also be longer if that’s your perference!
Puppy Check Ins
This service is for puppies! We will let your puppy out, whether it be out into the backyard or a brief walk to go potty. Due to a puppy’s ability to get sick easily, we will first make sure they have up to date shots before taking them on a walk of any kind. If we do not have proof of important vaccinations, we will only keep the puppy in your yard. We will have lots of playtime with the puppy in order for them to fall asleep while you are gone! All check ins do include play time of some sort, either inside or outside as well as feeding and water replacement. For puppies, we recommend that you book 2 check ins a day. This is to ensure potty training goes more successfully, and in addition to puppies needing more human interactions.
Pet Taxi
This is a service to help your dog get from point A to point B while you are busy, at work, or whatever your situation may be! We are able to pick up animals from vets, daycare, etc.! We will make sure your pet is safely strapped into the car to avoid any injuries in the event of an accident. This service can come in handy for those that work all week and can’t find time to get their dogs from daycare!
Poo Crew
This service is for poop clean up! Litter box clean ups are available with the cat check ins. We do, however, also offer a litter box clean up service as well if you just need the box cleaned. We also pick up and dog poop in the yard and clean up after small animals too! This service is paid for by the hour, with the exception of litter boxes and small animal cages – those have their own pricing!
Homeward Hound's Special Service Descriptions
Adventure Pups
This service is a long dog walk on a trail! We can either do solo walks, walks with one of my dogs, or a walk with someone else’s dog(s). This service is 1 ½ to 2 hours long. We select the trail by figuring out which one is closest to everyone’s house. This service can only be booked during day time hours. In order for this service to take place, we need to have been working with the dog for at least a month.
Wedding Services
Ever wanted your dog(s) at your wedding? Now you can thanks to Homeward Hound! In our packages, we offer a lot of things to make your special day easier and to offer some peace of mind. Packages of any tier will include a pet taxi to and from the venue, a check in visit, and feeding/water replacement! Supply Taxi
This service is similar to the pet taxi, only this one is for a supply run! Whether it be litter, food, bedding, etc, we can get it and bring it to you! This service is priced by time and mileage, and also includes the cost of the supplies. Paying ahead before we pick up your supplies is ideal!
Farm Sitting
This is for farms that need to be maintained while you are gone! We work with all kinds of farm animals. This service is charged by the hour, as well as how many animals are involved. Every situation is different! We will discuss further details during our meet & greet!
Structured Exercise
Running, biking, jogging, oh my! This service is for dogs that need a little more energy burnt off. In order for this service to take place, you need a dog that has done some kind of exercise like these before. This is to ensure our safety as well as the dog’s safety. If you have never done something like this with your dog before, we will need to have known the dog for a month at least before beginning. This will also include some training with us to ensure that your dog won’t injured himself/herself.
Doggy Enrichment
Now offering dog enrichment! This service will include a 15 - 20 minute sniff walk – meaning we will take the dog for a walk but walk at their pace and allow them to sniff freely. We have many forms of enrichment that can take place with this service, if you have one in mind that you’d like us to add in, please do let us know! Otherwise, we will find different enrichment every visit so we can keep it interesting! This service can be booked as either a 30 minute or 45 minute visit!
