Pet Care Services Designed to fit your needs
At Homeward Hound, we strive to offer you the best possible pet care services. We offer services such as dog walking, drop-in visits, wedding services, dog training, and more! Everything can be found here on our website. If you have any questions or are interested in any of our services, please send us a message at the bottom of this page, and we will be happy to discuss further! At this point in time, we do not offer pet care services during the week. Dog training is offered mostly on weekends, but has the possibility of being offered during weekdays if approved. This is all on a case-by-case basis.
Pet Care Services
Our pet care services are fully customizable. We offer dog walking, drop-in visits, pet taxi, and more! We also offer wedding services so that you can have your best friend at your wedding AND have them cared for in your absence during your special day. Pet care services are great for all kinds of dogs! We keep them busy during the day so you don't have to worry about them being bored or lonely.
Dog training services
Our dog training is also customizable. We offer private training lessons to help you work one-on-one with your dog and address your specific needs. We do not provide a board and train program or group lessons at this time; however, we are planning to in the near future! We are able to help dogs of all shapes, sizes, and ages. We offer minor behavioral modification; however, we do not train dogs with aggression or bite histories. We also offer training programs for service dogs and therapy dogs.
Our Story
The Beginning
My passion for animals started at a very young age. I used to go out to the pond behind my house and catch and release frogs. I always used to try to talk to animals, hoping one day they'd talk back! When I was about 7, I started "training" my childhood dog. He wasn't very cooperative, and I, being 7 and not knowing much about dog training, it turned out to be quite a task! I'm sure, somewhere along the way, I confused him and made lots of mistakes. (Client dog, Blue, pictured to the left)
The Growth
After growing up and learning more about dog training and the world of dogs, I got a dog with the intention of him being my first-ever service dog prospect. After training him for a while, I gained some valuable knowledge. However, he ended up having to be a pet dog as he was reactive toward other dogs. Flash forward to 2020, and I ended up with a new service dog prospect. Then, having more experience and knowledge in dog training, I was able to train him successfully to be a service dog. Since then, I have done lots of research on dog training and worked with a mentor to become a dog trainer in a corporate company. Now, having over 3 years of experience, I am proud to now offer dog training as a service to help others! (Comet, my service dog, pictured to the right)
The Future
Now, having the business of my dreams, I strive to offer the best services that I can! Not only do I do dog training now, but I also offer pet care services. I train mostly any kind of dog and also care for all sorts of animals! I grew up around lots of animals! From cows, to goats, to dogs, to cats, to reptiles, to rodents, etc. My goal is to offer solutions to give you peace of mind when you are not home! Another goal of mine is to keep dogs in their homes and avoid them going to shelters. (Felix, client dog, pictured to the left)
